About

Maryland native Natasha Jane, affectionately known as the R&B Top Model  sang her first song at age one, penned her first song at age 14 and after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park, released the inspiring single reinforcing a positive self image among the youth, “Top Model” feat. Drag-On (which inspired her sobriquet) followed by “She Might Be” feat. Ray J & Maino. She is back with the first release from her upcoming EP, “T r u t h.”  Natasha took a decidedly different direction, choosing to lean into a wider display of sounds and styles, in order to convey an array of emotions and topics, most notably including scat singing and her signature long notes.

Natasha Jane’s music refines boundaries and mesmerizes in a bold quest for both substance and intimacy. Her writing and four octave range vocal delivery exude powerful yet elegant rich texture, which heals and uplifts. Highly influenced by her mother and late father, Natasha notes that her desire is to continue pouring into others through her music and various talents. She is also an elementary school music teacher and mixed media visual artist. One of her current works is featured as wearable art through her clothing line, Scat Art Collection Apparel (SACA).

"Natasha Jane's vocals are
like a pot of beef stew, rich, layered and full of depth"
